The name I chose was Commonweal. When \u003cspan style=\"font-family: 'PT Serif',serif; color: #222222;\"\u003eLes' Wood retired (2017), I had obtained many of his handpicked bowls that he had turned \u0026amp; aged for 20 years. Then I had a problem, great bowls with a provenance, good idea, but how would I get them made into pipes.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eThe idea was born from an earlier collaboration I had arranged between Les and Michael, the Ferndown-Premier pipes, 2013-2015. With Commonweal it was a bit more complicated with three pipe makers involved; Les Wood, Michael Parks and Charles Lemon doing the mouthpieces. Michael Parks agreed to take charge of production and guided all  aspects to meet the high standards, we wanted and achieved. \u003cspan style=\"font-family: 'PT Serif',serif; color: #222222;\"\u003eCommonweal production ended in 2021, when Michael decided to devote all his time to his fabulous Parks pipes.
